P1341 · BMWMultiple Cylinder Misfire With Fuel Cut-off

P1341 on BMW vehicles means the engine control module (DME) has detected misfires across multiple cylinders severe enough to trigger a fuel cut-off to protect the catalytic converters from overheating. The DME monitors crankshaft speed fluctuations and, when misfire rates exceed a calibrated threshold on more than one cylinder, it disables fuel injection to those cylinders and stores this code.
