U0585Invalid Data Received From Active Grille Air Shutter Module A

U0585 means the module that controls the active grille air shutter — the movable vanes in the front grille that improve aerodynamics and engine warm-up — is sending data the rest of the vehicle's computers cannot trust. The computer detected a message from that shutter module that was missing, out of range, or internally inconsistent, so it flagged the data as invalid rather than acting on it.
