U02A3Lost Communication With Particulate Matter Sensor

U02A3 is a generic communication fault indicating that the engine control module (ECM) has lost the data signal from the particulate matter (PM) sensor, which is used on diesel vehicles to monitor soot levels in the exhaust. The ECM sets this code when it stops receiving the periodic serial data message that the PM sensor normally broadcasts over the controller area network (CAN) bus.
