U0117Lost Communication with Drive Motor Control Module 2

U0117 is a generic network communication code indicating that one or more control modules on the vehicle's controller area network (CAN) bus have stopped receiving messages from the drive motor control module 2, which is the second inverter or motor controller on electric and hybrid vehicles. The detecting module sets this code after a specified number of consecutive missing or corrupted CAN frames from that module, which usually points to a wiring fault, a power or ground problem at the module, or an internal failure of the module itself.
