P2EA2Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 6

P2EA2 means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor circuit for bank 1 sensor 6. The PCM expects the sensor signal voltage to stay within a calibrated range that corresponds to a plausible exhaust temperature, and a high voltage reading usually indicates an open circuit, a short to voltage, or a sensor that has failed in a way that drives the signal high.
