P2DAFDrive Motor A Temperature Sensor B Circuit High

P2DAF indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit for the temperature sensor that monitors the stator or windings of drive motor A, often called the traction motor. The sensor is a thermistor whose resistance drops as temperature rises, so a high voltage reading corresponds to an unusually low resistance or a circuit fault that pulls the signal above the expected range. This code is specific to hybrid and electric vehicles and does not affect the engine itself.
