P2C22Exhaust Heat Exchanger Exhaust Bypass Valve A Position Sensor Circuit

P2C22 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormal signal from the position sensor circuit of the exhaust bypass valve in the exhaust heat exchanger. This valve routes exhaust gas to warm the engine coolant or cabin heater during cold starts, and the sensor reports the valve's actual position to the PCM. The code is set when the sensor voltage or signal does not match the expected range for the commanded valve position.
