P2AE4Intake Air O2 Sensor Pumping Current Circuit Low Bank 1

P2AE4 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an abnormally low current on the pumping circuit of the intake air oxygen sensor on bank 1, which is a wideband air-fuel ratio sensor mounted ahead of the catalytic converter. The sensor's internal pump cell is not drawing the expected current, so the computer cannot trust the exhaust oxygen reading used for fuel control.
