P2AB9Wastegate Position Sensor A Circuit High

P2AB9 means the engine computer has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit from wastegate position sensor A, which is the feedback sensor that reports how far the turbocharger wastegate is actually open. The computer expects the sensor voltage to stay within a calibrated range as the wastegate moves, and a sustained high reading tells it the signal wire is shorted to voltage, the sensor has failed, or the wastegate is stuck in a position that drives the signal high.
