P2A7E indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the hydraulic pressure sensor in an alternative fuel system, such as a compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) setup. The PCM monitors this sensor to ensure stable hydraulic pressure for proper fuel delivery, and the code sets when the voltage or signal readings jump erratically or drop out momentarily.
