P2A54 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the outlet temperature sensor of the alternative fuel vaporizer, designated as vaporizer A. This sensor monitors the temperature of the fuel vapor leaving the vaporizer, and the circuit's signal is not stable enough for the module to trust, which can affect fuel delivery calculations and emissions control.
