DTC codes / P2Axx · Hybrid propulsion / P2A34
P2A34 indicates that the Active Fuel Control Module (AFCM) has detected a high voltage condition on its power relay control circuit, meaning the module is seeing voltage on the control wire when it expects the relay to be off or the circuit is shorted to power. The AFCM monitors this circuit to ensure the relay can be commanded properly, and a high reading tells the module that the control line is being pulled up or shorted to battery voltage.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
