P2A27 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a performance fault in the control circuit for the alternative fuel tank shutoff valve 'C'. The circuit is not responding as expected, either because the valve is stuck closed or the electrical signal is outside the normal range, preventing proper fuel tank isolation or flow.
