P28F2 indicates that the engine control module has detected an out-of-range or performance fault in the circuit for the engine disconnect clutch pressure sensor, which monitors hydraulic pressure in the clutch that couples the engine to the transmission in hybrid and automatic-stop-start systems. The computer compares the sensor signal against expected values under specific operating conditions and sets this code when the signal does not correlate with pressure commands or falls outside the valid range.
