P287EEngine Disconnect Clutch Actuator Circuit/Open

P287E indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an open circuit or excessive resistance in the electrical path for the engine disconnect clutch actuator. This clutch, used in some hybrid and automatic manual transmission systems, physically separates the engine from the driveline during certain operating modes, and the actuator must move it on command. The PCM monitors the actuator circuit and sets this code when the expected voltage or current is not present, meaning the actuator cannot be reliably controlled.
