P2869Shift Fork E Stuck

P2869 indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected a stuck condition in shift fork E, which is one of the internal mechanical selectors used in automated manual, dual-clutch, or certain automatic transmissions. The computer commands the fork to move and monitors its position or motor current, and when the fork fails to reach the expected position within a calibrated time, the code is stored.
