P27BC indicates that the transmission control module (TCM) has detected an intermittent fault in the electrical circuit for pressure control solenoid N, which is used to regulate hydraulic pressure inside the transmission. The TCM monitors the solenoid's current draw and response, and when the signal drops out or behaves erratically, it stores this code and may illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).
