DTC codes / P27xx · Transmission / P2741
P2741 means the transmission control module (TCM) has detected that the signal from transmission fluid temperature sensor 'B' is outside the expected range or is not changing in a plausible way during a set drive cycle. The computer compares the sensor voltage against a modeled temperature curve and flags the circuit when the reading stays too high, too low, or inconsistent for too long.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
