P2581Turbocharger/Supercharger Speed Sensor A Circuit High

P2581 means the engine computer has detected an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit from the turbocharger or supercharger speed sensor, which it interprets as an impossible or out-of-range sensor reading. The sensor is supposed to report how fast the compressor wheel is spinning, and a high-voltage condition tells the computer that the signal wire is likely shorted to power or the sensor has failed internally.
