P2504Charging System Voltage High

P2504 means the engine control module (ECM) has detected that the charging system voltage has risen above the safe limit for a sustained period, typically above 15.0 to 15.5 volts. The ECM monitors the voltage on its power feed and sets this code when the alternator is overcharging or the voltage regulation circuit is not controlling output correctly.
