DTC codes / P24xx · Auxiliary emission controls / P24F7
P24F7 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has commanded the exhaust aftertreatment fuel air purge valve to open, but the valve remains stuck closed, preventing the intended air purge from reaching the exhaust system. The PCM detects this by monitoring the valve's electrical circuit or the resulting change in exhaust oxygen content and sets the code when the expected response does not occur.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
