P24E9NH3 Sensor Heater Circuit Performance

P24E9 means the engine computer has detected a performance problem in the heater circuit for the ammonia (NH3) sensor, which is a type of nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensor used on diesel and some gasoline engines. The computer monitors how quickly the sensor's heater element brings the sensor up to operating temperature and how much current the heater draws, and it sets this code when the heater response is slower or different than expected.
