P24E6NH3 Sensor Heater Circuit/Open

P24E6 indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an open circuit in the heater element of the ammonia (NH3) sensor, which is used to monitor selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system performance on diesel vehicles. The computer commands the heater on and monitors the current flow; when the expected current is absent, it sets this code because the sensor cannot reach operating temperature.
