P24A5EGR Cooler Bypass Control Stuck Open Bank 1

P24A5 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass valve stuck in the open position on bank 1. The PCM commands the bypass valve to close under certain conditions, but the valve position sensor or the PCM's rationality check shows the valve remains open, allowing exhaust gas to flow through the cooler when it should be bypassed.
