P2464Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Too High

P2464 means the engine computer has calculated that the pressure difference across the diesel particulate filter (DPF) is higher than expected for the current exhaust flow, indicating a restriction in the filter. The powertrain control module (PCM) compares readings from the DPF differential pressure sensor and triggers the code when the measured restriction exceeds the calibrated threshold, which usually points to accumulated soot or ash that the filter cannot burn off during normal regeneration.
