P2434 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an intermittent or erratic signal from the secondary air injection (SAI) system's air flow or pressure sensor on bank 1. The PCM expects a stable, plausible voltage or pressure reading during SAI operation, but the signal drops out, spikes, or fluctuates outside the expected range, setting this code.
