P2342Cylinder #7 Above Knock Threshold

The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the knock sensor signal for cylinder number 7 and has detected vibration activity that exceeds the calibrated knock threshold for that specific cylinder. This means the engine is experiencing abnormal combustion noise on cylinder 7, which the PCM interprets as pre-ignition or detonation, and it may respond by retarding ignition timing to protect the engine.
