P2340Cylinder #5 Above Knock Threshold

P2340 means the engine control module has detected that cylinder number five is producing abnormal combustion noise, or knock, that exceeds the threshold the manufacturer programmed for that cylinder. The computer uses the knock sensor signal to identify which cylinder is knocking and sets this code when cylinder five consistently crosses that limit, which usually points to a mechanical, fuel, or ignition problem specific to that cylinder.
