DTC codes / P22xx · Fuel and air metering (injector circuits) / P22E3
P22E3 means the engine computer has detected an abnormally high voltage on the control circuit for the alternative fuel injector serving cylinder 3. The computer expects the circuit to pull the voltage low when it commands the injector on, but it sees the line stuck near battery voltage instead, indicating an open circuit or a driver fault.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
