DTC codes / P22xx · Fuel and air metering (injector circuits) / P2267
P2267 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the water-in-fuel sensor circuit, which typically means the sensor signal wire is shorted to voltage or the sensor's internal resistance has increased beyond the expected range. The PCM uses this sensor to detect water contamination in the fuel filter housing, and a high voltage reading tells the module that the circuit is not returning the expected ground reference.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
