P214DSCR NOx Catalyst Outlet Temperature Too High During Particulate Filter Regeneration

P214D means the engine computer has detected that the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system's nitrogen oxide (NOx) catalyst outlet temperature climbed too high while the diesel particulate filter (DPF) was actively regenerating. The computer compares the outlet temperature sensor reading against a calibrated limit and sets this code when the exhaust gas exiting the SCR catalyst is hotter than it should be during that regeneration event.
