P2003Particulate Trap Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

P2003 means the powertrain control module has determined that the diesel particulate filter on bank 2 of the exhaust system is not trapping soot efficiently enough to meet the manufacturer's expected threshold. The computer typically reaches this conclusion by comparing the pressure drop across the filter against what it expects for the current exhaust flow, and it may also use downstream soot or temperature sensor readings to confirm the filter is underperforming.
