DTC codes / P0Axx · Hybrid propulsion / P0A58
P0A58 indicates that the hybrid or electric vehicle control module has detected an abnormally high voltage signal from the current sensor circuit monitoring drive motor B, which is the second traction motor in a multi-motor hybrid system. The computer expects the sensor's output to stay within a calibrated range that corresponds to the actual current flowing through the motor, and a high signal means the reported current exceeds what the system can safely command or verify.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
