P07F7Gear 10 Incorrect Ratio

P07F7 means the transmission control module (TCM) has detected that the actual gear ratio in tenth gear does not match the ratio it expects for that gear, based on input and output speed sensor signals. The computer calculates the ratio by dividing transmission input shaft speed by output shaft speed and compares it to a stored value for tenth gear; when the difference exceeds a calibrated threshold, it sets this code and may illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp.
