P0711Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance

P0711 means the transmission control module (TCM) has detected that the transmission fluid temperature sensor's signal is outside the expected range or not changing as the fluid warms up. The computer compares the sensor reading against a model of what the temperature should be after a certain driving time and flags the code when the two do not agree.
