P061CInternal Control Module Engine RPM Performance

P061C indicates that the engine control module (ECM) has detected an internal discrepancy between the engine speed it calculates from its own internal signals and the actual engine speed reported by the crankshaft position sensor. The ECM sets this code when the calculated RPM does not match the measured RPM within a calibrated tolerance, pointing to a fault inside the control module itself or its processing of the crank signal.
