P0436Catalyst Temperature Sensor Range/Performance (Bank 2)

P0436 means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected that the bank 2 catalyst temperature sensor is not reporting a plausible temperature range or is not responding as expected during the monitor's test. The PCM compares the sensor signal against modeled exhaust temperature and other sensor inputs, and it sets this code when the signal falls outside the expected performance window.
