DTC codes / P03xx · Ignition system and misfire / P035C
P035C indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the ignition coil control circuit for cylinder E, which is typically the fifth cylinder in the engine's firing order. The PCM commands the coil to fire by grounding the control circuit, so a high-voltage reading means the circuit is not being pulled low as expected, often due to an open circuit or a failed coil driver.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
