P016DExcessive Time To Enter Closed Loop Fuel Pressure Control

P016D indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) commanded closed-loop fuel pressure control but the fuel pressure did not reach or stabilize within the expected time window. The PCM monitors the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel pressure regulator or pump control circuit, and it sets this code when the feedback loop fails to achieve the target pressure quickly enough after the enable conditions are met.
