DTC codes / P00xx · Fuel and air metering and auxiliary emission controls / P0007
P0007 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an abnormally high voltage on the control circuit for fuel shutoff valve 'A'. The PCM commands the valve to close during certain conditions such as deceleration or over-rev protection, and it monitors the circuit for expected voltage; a high reading means the circuit is likely open, shorted to voltage, or the valve's internal coil is faulty.
Guidance is general and written for all OBD-II vehicles. Exact tests and values vary by model, so confirm the fault before replacing parts.
