P1711 · MazdaTransmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Out Of Self Test Range

P1711 on Mazda vehicles means the transmission control module (TCM) ran its self-test on the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor circuit and found the signal outside the expected range for that moment. The TCM compares the sensor voltage against a plausible window based on engine coolant temperature and run time, and it flags the code when the reading is too high, too low, or stuck.
