P1336 · GMCrankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned

P1336 means the engine control module (ECM) has not learned the crankshaft position sensor's variation pattern, which is the small timing difference between the crankshaft reluctor wheel teeth. The ECM needs this learned profile to accurately detect misfires and control ignition timing, and it sets the code when the learn procedure has not been completed or the stored values are invalid.
