P1580 · FordElectronic Throttle Monitor PCM Override

P1580 on Ford vehicles means the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a fault in the electronic throttle control (ETC) system that forced it to override the normal throttle monitor and enter a limited-power mode. The PCM compares the actual throttle plate position against the commanded position and, when the two disagree beyond a calibrated threshold, it stores this code and typically commands the throttle to a default limp-home position.
