P1230 · FordOpen Power to Fuel Pump Circuit

P1230 on Ford vehicles means the powertrain control module (PCM) has commanded the fuel pump on but detected an open circuit in the power feed to the fuel pump, so it cannot confirm the pump is receiving voltage. The PCM monitors the fuel pump control circuit and sets this code when the expected voltage is missing on the power side of the pump circuit.
