C05E14WD/AWD Clutch A Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

This code indicates that the powertrain control module has detected an out-of-range or erratic signal from the position sensor that monitors the clutch pack in a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive system. The computer compares the sensor voltage against expected values for the current driving conditions and sets the code when the signal falls outside the allowable range or fails a rationality check.
